Welcome to Food Finders

Food Finders is a multiregional food bank and food rescue program. We pick up donated food from hundreds of local grocery stores, bakeries, restaurants and produce markets and distribute it directly to missions, shelters and domestic agencies to feed the needy and impoverished. Our volunteers and staff drivers pick up and deliver on a same-day basis. On average, Food Finders helps feed 16,000 people a day, reducing the amount of food insecurity prevalent throughout Southern California.

New Year, New Executive Director

On January 24th it was announced that Patti Larson, who was appointed Interim Director last June, formally accepted the Board's offer as Executive Director. Patti had been the nonprofit's Marketing and Public Relations Specialist after starting with Food Finders in 2009. Food Finders looks forward to an exciting 2012 and beyond, and we hope the community will continue to offer its support in helping reduce hunger and food waste.

"The Gift" Event - Fun, Family and Food

Food Finders was grateful to be a part of New Generation's annual event at Washington Middle School this past weekend. While families enjoyed toy giveaways, raffles, hot dogs, and a message from the local pastor, Food Finders rolled up its truck and readied the boxes of food to be handed out to those in need. Nearly 100 family meal boxes went to help feed those who were given a special yellow ticket.
