SOUPER BOWL OF CARING 2023

Campaign Dates: January 18 to February 12th

Food Drive Goal: If everyone watching the Super Bowl were to donate just one dollar or one can of food…..we could feed thousands of people in Southern California.

This movement hopes to bring about a change in our community by tackling hunger during the Super Bowl Event.

How To Host a Food Drive

1. Decided to host the food drive.

2. Contact Food Finders to get food collection bins, flyers, and social media posts.

3. Invite people to donate up to the Super Bowl on February 12th and continue throughout the month.

4. Request Food Donations are picked up February 13-28th

5. Food Finders will send you an impact certificate with the total number of pounds collected, meals this will serve through our community partners, and the environmental impact of your donations.

CANstruction Long Beach 2022

8th Annual CANstruction® Long Beach Competition & Exhibition 4 Food Finders

One of the most visually stunning demonstrations of talent and creativity within the architectural and engineering communities will provide a much-needed source of food for Food Finders to help eliminate hunger in Long Beach and surrounding communities.

The 8th annual CANstruction® Long Beach competition benefiting Food Finders will be held at The Cove Hotel, 200 E. Willow Street, Long Beach starting at 7 am.

CANstruction® participants will design and build unique structures made entirely from canned goods. The structures may be built up to 10’ x 10’ x 10’ and comprise canned goods totaling over 20,000 lbs. This year’s theme is “Yes She Can!”, and participating Teams may depict women history makers in any way they want!

CANstruction® is a unique charity that hosts competitions, exhibitions, and events showcasing colossal structures made out of full cans of food. After the structures are built, the CANsculptures® go on display to the public as a giant art exhibition. At the end of the event, all food is donated to local hunger relief organizations. Three teams of local architectural and engineering firms will transform thousands of cans of food into larger-than-life artistic masterpieces.

VISITORS ARE INVITED TO BRING CANS TO THIS EVENT AND ALSO TO VOTE ON THEIR FAVORITE STRUCTURE
(all the additional cans will be donated to Food finders!)

    • July 30 Final design due
    • September 14 Teams deliver cans to build site
    • September 15 Build Day! 7am – 8pm
    • September 15 – 25 Structures on display
    • September 26 DE-Canstruction/donation
    • October (Date TBD) Awards announced
